 She may sound like she’s from Holland but this blonde bombshell made a name for herself in the area around Chelmsford. After starting out as a page three model, Denise started to dream of becoming a TV presenter. She appeared in the shows “The Big Breakfast” and “Babes In The Wood” before then chancing her arm at theatre. She first played Roxie Hart on the stage in the hit musical Chicago and then Tell Me On A Sunday, where her portrayal of a lonely lady who had little talent was sublime.

Nope, surprisingly he’s not Irish – he is in fact from the depths of Essex. This now world-wide TV presenter started life showing his talents on a local radio station. He broke into the big bad world of TV by earning rave reviews hosting Big Brother’s Little Brother. He then got the job hosting ITV hi-show X-Factor, where he still holds the anchor role.

This Essex boy grew up near Chelmsford. He fronted the worldwide successful band that is/was Blur. When Blur officially reformed (albeit briefly) in 2008, Damon planned for the band to perform secret gigs in his home county. He later fronted the virtual Gorillas band that had huge success with tracks such as “Dare” and “Feel Good Inc”.

Jamie Oliver was famously brought up in an Essex pub run by his parents. By the age of 24 he had already become a hugely successful TV Chef. That year, his show The Naked Chef debuted and his cookbook became a number one best-seller in the UK. He is an Essex boy at heart and continues to keep his roots close to him despite being one of the world’s top chefs.

A Chelmsford girl through and through Stacey Solomon’s bubbly personality brought here to the public attention on the X Factor, where she came third behind Alexandra Burke and JLS. She since has made a lucrative career for herself in the celebrity world, winning I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and hosting various chat-shows.

This Chelmsford-custodian graduated from Essex and ended up in Hogwarts. He made his name playing Ron Weasley in the billion dollar making film Harry Potter, which produced seven films over a six year period.

The beauty, who is currently dating troubled footballer Wayne Bridge, is arguably one of the most gorgeous women ever to have come of the Chelmsford area. She is famed for being part of the hit-girl-group The Saturdays but spends most of her time partying in various Essex hot-spots.
