Former athlete and politician

Lord Coe was chairman of the London Organising Committee for the 2012 Olympics and was instrumental in bringing the Games to Britain. Before that he was a hugely successful athlete, winning Olympic gold medals in 1980 and 1984, and is widely-considered as one of Britain’s best ever sportsmen.
