Sir Henry CecilSir Henry Cecil

Known as the master of Newmarket, Henry is widely regarded as one of the greatest horse racing trainers that have ever lived. He has been Champion Trainer ten times and, has trained over 25 domestic Classic winners, including Frankel, who is arguably the greatest racehorse that ever lived. After years of success, Cecil experienced a dramatic fall from grace in the 90’s but bounced back when Cecil’s Light Shift won the Oaks in 2007. Since then he has bounced back to the top, aided by Frankel, of course.


John Gosden

John Gosden

John is regarded as one of racing’s finest trainers. He has trained winners all around the world, including the Breeders’ Cup Classic, the Derby, King George, 1,000 Guineas and St Leger. In total he has amassed over 2,000 winners since taking out a licence aged 1983. Some of the greatest horses he has trained include Benny the Dip, Dar Re Mi and his St Leger pair Masked Marvel and Arctic Cosmos.


William Buick

William Buick

William grew up in Norway, and comes from a family of horse racing enthusiasts, but now resides in Newmarket as stable jockey to John Gosden. He shared the champion apprentice title in 2008 with David Probert and won the Lester Award for Apprentice Jockey of the Year in 2007 and 2008. Since then he has gone onto form a strong association with Gosden after the trainer severed ties with his previous stable jockey Jimmy Fortune.


Tom Queally

Tom Queally

Tom is one of the leading jockeys current riding in the UK and is most famous for his association with the great horse Frankel. He partnered the amazing thoroughbred in all of his Group race success. Queally finished 2011 with 100 winners and over £2,500,000 in prize-money.


Sir Mark Prescott

Sir Mark Prescott

Sir Mark is one of the biggest characters within the horse racing industry and trains in Newmarket’s most prestigious racing grounds, Heath House. He has over 1300 winners to his name and inherited his knighthood from his father. He broke his back in a riding accident in 1965 before taking out a training licence when he returned to full-fitness.


Hayley Turner

Hayley Turner

Hayley is widely considered the current top female jockey that the UK have ever produced. She became the first female rider to ride 100 UK Flat race winners during a calendar year and also rode two Group One winners in the shape of Margot Did in the Nunthorpe Stakes and Dream Ahead in the July Cup.


Frankie Dettori

Frankie Dettori

Frankie is one of the world’s best horsemanand has ridden over 500 Group race winners. He has been described by arguably the greatest jockey Lester Piggott as the best jockey currently riding and is famed for turning on the style for a big occasion. He lives in Newmarket with wife Catherine and their five children Leo, Ella, Mia, Tallulah and Rocco.


Ross Edgar

Ross Edgar

Ross is known within athletic circles as a man that was part of a silver medal team at the Beijing Olympics. He along with the British Cycling Track team, which included Sir Chris Hoy, won silver at the 2008 Games. He also has had a Gold medal to his name from the 2004 Commenwealth Games.


Dina Carroll

Dina Carroll

Dina is a famous songwriter/singer that had a string of hit spanning over a 20 year period. Her album ‘So Close’ reached the top ten in the UK charts in 1993. She went off the boil in 2000 when First Avenue Management entered into a crisis phase wichreulsted in her losing her record deal.
