He’s one of the most talented rappers around and he comes from Toronto. He seemingly loves rapping about spaceships and the extra-terrestrial and brings a different approach to hip-hop. He released the fantastic Atlantis: Hymns for Disco which remains one of his best pieces of work.

 

 

 

 

Keanu Reeves

One of the biggest names in Hollywood, Reeves had his biggest success when he stared as Neo in The Matrix movies. In 2005 he finally got his name on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and is currently working on the third park of the Bill & Ted movie series.

 

 

 

 

Jason Spezza

He might not play for the Maple Leafs but Spezza still hails from Toronto, despite the stick he gets from Leaf fans. The 29-year-old was drafted in 2001 by the Ottawa Senators and made his debut in 2002 for the franchise. In 606 NHL games he has 226 goals and 390 assists.

 

 

 

 

Snow

Snow,is a Juno Award-winning Canadian reggae musician but hasn’t been up to much main stream music in recent years. He rose to prominence with his song ‘Informer’ way back in 1992 after it reached No.1 in the charts. He does, however, release new songs through his website.

 

 

 

 

Joey Votto

He’s one of the best first baseman in Major League Baseball and is also one of the richest after signing a 10-year, $225 million contract extension with the Cincinnati Reds. In his career the 28-year-old has 133 home runs and is a three-time All-Star and a Gold Glove winner.

He’s one of the most influential rock musicians of his generation and has been going for more than 40 years. After The Gold Rush is regarded as one of the best albums of all time and in 2009 he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada.

Drake is currently one of the most popular hip-hop artists around.  His album Take Care has been a resounding hit in the charts and on the radio, and he has collaborated with the likes of Rihanna. Toronto has a huge music scene and K’naan is another artist who has made the big-time. But music isn’t where his talent stops with the 34-year-old an accomplished poet.  His biggest break came whenhis single “Wavin’ Flag”, which was chosen as Coca-Cola’s promotional anthem for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Baseball is a popular sport in Toronto, so it’s no surprise that the city has produced quite a few baseball players. Kottarasis just one of those talented ball players and he currently ply’s his trade with the Milwaukee Brewers having previously been with the Boston Red Sox.
