30 most famous people from Moscow, Russia


Boasting the world’s fifth largest population, the capital city of Russia Moscow has been the home of the most billionaires in the world.


With Moscow set to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup, it is a city that has produced many winning teams and people in sports.


Contact Sergei Viktorovich ParshivlyukFC Spartak Moscow have won more Russian League titles than any other team, and their captain Sergei Viktorovich Parshivlyuk began his career there and has been there ever since. Diniyar Bilyaletdinov signed for Spartak in January having spent three years in the Premier League for Everton.


Valery Karpin is a former Russian professional footballer who played for Spartak in the early 1990s and is currently the manager of Spartak. Danish legend Michael Laudrup also had a spell as manager, with Karpin inheriting his position.

Anna Semenovich sets men’s pulses racing in Moscow for her beautiful looks, as does Natalia Sokolovaand Valentina Zelyaeva.

Anna Semenovich used to be an ice skater winning a bronze medal at the Russian Championships but now works as an actress, model and singer. Kristina Orbakaitе has been producing albums since 1994 and was awarded the World Music Award in 2002.


Daniil Strakhov as an actor won the Special Jury Prize in 2006 at the Consellation Festival for his role as Captain Lisnevsky in the film Transit.


Grigory Alekseevich Rapota is the current special representative of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, and Dmitry Zelenin is the governor of Tver Oblast but born in Moscow.
